Some gamers have feared that playing Dead Space would leave them dead in the water when it came to pausing during the game. But fear not oh faithful gamers of ardent alien butchery for you will not have to slaughter alien races for hours upon hours, because the powers that be within the Dead Space universe, i.e. EA have decreed that the pause will be an available option.
Glen Schofield, executive producer of Dead Space, spoke to MTV Multiplayer, and they learned that the no pause thing had all been blown out of proportion and that Dead Space WILL indeed allow a gamer to pause the game. Apparently if a gamer couldn’t pause the game it would be against Microsoft and Sony’s rules.
However, the gamer will not have the ability to do the plausible action this as in Resident Evil, where gamers could pause to add more ammo and equipment. So there you have it, you’ll be able to pause just at the moment you slice and dice the enemy so you can see all the gory detail!!!
