Apparently, Sony has up’d the price by double for echochrome, a title which will be available as a downloadable PS3 title (via PSN) along with a stand-alone version on PSP in Japan. Sure the PSP version would be more expensive, it’s costs cash to print the discs, but the double price hike is a bit staggering.
So, a physical UMD disc for PSP costs 3,980 yen, roughly 37 bucks, while a downloadable PS3 version costs just 1800 yen, roughly 17 bucks, and well other than a colour difference there has been no more difference announced.
So in ending, hopefully when or if SCEA picks up the PSP version they’ll make a smart move and offer it somewhat cheaper.
