Guitar Hero III: amBX interactive technology? Video

amBX

Apparently you can use this on any rhythm game, but here it is as an example using Guitar Hero III, and to be honest I’ve never heard of amBX tech before now. Seems Philips want us to believe it’s the next newest big step in interactive technology.

So what is it? Is it touch-screen? Or big tables? Or something else? Well it’s something else actually, it’s colours. Ok so let’s put Philips desperate marketing aside for a few seconds, when you actually combine amBX with Guitar Hero III you do get an impressive  light display.

amBX is a tad on the expensive side though coming in at twice the price of the $99.00 Rock Band stage kit, so let’s hope it’s worth every cent. There’ll be somewhat of a wait though because this video utilises the PC version of Guitar Hero III as the Xbox 360 version of amBX hardware isn’t available yet.
