Science Museum to test Nintendo Wii

Nintendo Wii

On the 26th the Dana Centre, which is part of the Science Museum in London is to host an event called “Play Away the Calories” and is centred round the exercise that can be gained from yes you’ve got it…the Nintendo Wii.Tim Cable, an exercise expert is to speak and measure calories burned during a Wii playing session and compare the results against other forms of exercise, and normal video games.

There will also be other speakers who are to discuss obesity problems along with the history of health conscious gaming.Attendees will get the chance to step up and have a go on the Nintendo Wii Balance board, and try out Wii Fit.

Our guess is the results will be in favour of the Nintendo Wii, not that the fact that Nintendo are sponsoring the event will have any sway of course. So if you happen to be in town on the 26th why not pop in, you may get to have a go.
