Sony was the powerhouse of video gaming years ago, but since Microsoft’s Xbox 360 came out first they took over as the leader in video gaming.
Sony hopes to reclaim it’s title of the powerhouse in video gaming with the Playstation 3 and with the one million PS3s hitting the shops on day one.
We feel this debate is open to discussion as it’s not just about Sony’s PS3 and the Xbox 360 as the Nintendo Wii looks like it’s been outselling both the 360 and the PS3 in the US.
Published by the NPD group, sales figures for the Sony PlayStation 3 was 127,000 units and 228,000 Xbox 360’s sold, but the Nintendo Wii has sold 335,000 consoles now you can look at this in many ways.
The price of the PS3 and 360 may explain why less of them sell, but then at the end of the day which ever console is in the most homes wins at the end of the day.
